The NUL&SC encourages the social advancement
and political awareness of its members.
The NUL&SC co-operates with the Labour
Party and the TUC on a wide range of issues, which affect
Clubs and their members.
The NUL&SC provides such machinery as
is necessary to assist affiliated Clubs in all legal and
managerial matters.
The NUL&SC promotes measures which are
advantageous to the welfare of Clubs and their members.
Constitution
The NUL&SC is democratically controlled
by its member Clubs.
Each Club is allocated to a geographical
Area Committee, to which it is entitled to appoint delegates
and attend meetings of mutual interest to Clubs.
Each year the NUL&SC holds an Annual
Delegate Conference [ADC] to which Affiliated Clubs are
entitled to send Delegates. The policy and amendments to
rules are discussed at the ADC and the National Officers
elected.
The governing body of the NUL&SC is
the National Executive Committee [NEC], members are elected
to the NEC by the geographical Area Committees.
