The National Union of Labour and Socialist
Clubs [NUL&SC] has been in existence for over 50 years.
From its humble inception as a loose federation of Clubs in
Lancashire, it has grown into a national organisation of Clubs
located throughout the whole of Great Britain.
Benefits
As a national organisation we have a seat
on CORCA [Committee of Registered Clubs Association] who negotiate
with the Trade Unions to determine rates of pay and working
conditions in the trade.
- The NUL&SC retains the services of solicitors
for advice on Licensing Laws, Gaming Acts and other legal
matters.
- The NUL&SC deals with all the national
and regional brewers and is able to assist and advise Clubs
on loans and trading agreements.
- The NUL&SC has negotiated national agreements
with a wide range of companies at favourable rates for the
supply of products and services to members.
- The NUL&SC is recognised by both the
Performing Rights Society and the Phonographic Society and
undertake negotiations with these organisations in relation
to tariffs and licensing fees.
- The NUL&SC gives your members the right
to enjoy the facilities and amenities of all the other Clubs
which are affiliated to the NUL&SC organisation.
The NUL&SC, through our parliamentary representatives,
has direct access to all Government Departments, particularly
HM Customs and Excise, Inland Revenue and the Registry of
Friendly Societies.
The NUL&SC Affiliation entitles your Club
to appoint delegates to Constituency Labour Parties in your
locality if you so wish. You cannot do this if your Club is
not affiliated.
